TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Last updated: 2nd October 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all wellbeing coaching services provided by The Truest You, operated by Bridget Murphy.
By booking an appointment with The Truest You and accepting these Terms & Conditions, you agree to be bound by them. These Terms & Conditions apply to your initial appointment and all subsequent appointments unless otherwise agreed in writing.
1. Wellbeing Coaching
The Truest You provides practical, preventative and non-clinical wellbeing coaching.
Wellbeing coaching is designed to provide a supportive space for reflection, self-awareness, practical strategies, clarity and forward movement.
Coaching is not medical care, psychological treatment, counselling, psychotherapy, diagnosis or crisis support.
The Truest You does not diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions and does not prescribe or recommend prescription medication.
2. Scope of the Service
Coaching may explore areas such as:
wellbeing and self-awareness
values and priorities
habits and routines
energy and capacity
boundaries and communication
relationships and friendships
confidence and self-belief
perfectionism and high expectations
overwhelm and feeling stretched
practical decision-making
identifying realistic next steps.
The specific focus of coaching will depend on the individual client and what they bring to each session.
There is no guarantee of a particular personal, educational, professional or wellbeing outcome.
3. Client Responsibility
The client remains responsible for their own decisions, actions and choices.
Coaching suggestions are offered for consideration and are not instructions that a client must follow.
Clients are encouraged to seek appropriate professional advice where a matter falls outside the scope of wellbeing coaching.
4. Bookings and Payment
Appointments are booked through the available booking system used by The Truest You.
The applicable session fee will be displayed at the time of booking.
Payment is required in accordance with the booking and payment arrangements provided at the time of booking.
Where payment is made by card or through an online payment provider, that provider's applicable terms and privacy practices also apply.
5. Attendance and Late Arrival
Clients are expected to attend their appointment at the scheduled time.
For online appointments, clients are responsible for ensuring they have a suitable internet connection and a private environment where reasonably possible.
If a client is running late, they should contact Bridget as soon as possible.
The session will generally still finish at the scheduled time so that subsequent appointments can run as planned.
If a client has not joined an online session or arrived for an in-person session within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, the appointment will be treated as a no-show.
A no-show appointment is considered forfeited and the full session fee remains payable.
6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Clients may cancel or reschedule an appointment.
If an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time, the full session fee remains payable.
Where cancellation or rescheduling occurs more than 24 hours before the appointment, the appointment may be rescheduled or cancelled without the session fee being charged, subject to the booking and payment arrangements applicable to that appointment.
Exceptional circumstances may be considered at Bridget's discretion.
7. If Bridget Needs to Cancel or Reschedule
If Bridget needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, reasonable notice will be provided where possible.
Where an appointment cannot be rescheduled at a mutually suitable time, any payment made for that appointment will be refunded as appropriate.
8. Confidentiality
Information shared during coaching will generally be treated as confidential.
Confidentiality may not apply where disclosure is required or authorised by law, or where Bridget reasonably believes information needs to be shared to address a serious safety, safeguarding or emergency concern.
Where appropriate and reasonably possible, Bridget will discuss any necessary disclosure with the client before information is shared.
9. Privacy and Personal Information
The Truest You collects and handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, why it is collected, how it is stored and used, and the circumstances in which information may be disclosed.
The Privacy Policy is available on the The Truest You website.
10. Communication
Communication between appointments may be used for reasonable administrative matters, including bookings, scheduling and follow-up relating to the coaching service.
Email or other electronic communication should not be used for urgent, emergency or crisis support.
The Truest You cannot guarantee immediate responses to messages.
11. Online Sessions
Online coaching sessions are provided using the technology available through the booking arrangements.
Clients are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection and private environment where reasonably possible.
Technology issues may occasionally affect an online session. Reasonable steps will be taken to continue or reschedule the session where appropriate.
Clients should not record, screenshot or distribute coaching sessions without prior agreement from all relevant participants.
12. Resources and Materials
Any resources, worksheets, exercises or other materials provided by The Truest You are intended for the individual client's use as part of the coaching service.
They must not be reproduced, distributed, sold or commercially used without permission.
ADULT CLIENTS
13. Adult Coaching
Clients 18 years and over are responsible for providing their own informed consent to participate in wellbeing coaching.
By booking and accepting these Terms & Conditions, the client confirms that they understand the nature and scope of wellbeing coaching and that it is not a substitute for appropriate medical, psychological, counselling or other professional care.
STUDENT WELLBEING COACHING
14. Student Wellbeing Coaching
Student wellbeing coaching is designed as preventative, practical and non-clinical wellbeing support for secondary-school students.
It may support areas such as confidence, self-awareness, habits, routines, energy, values, expectations, perfectionism, relationships, friendships, decision-making and practical wellbeing skills.
Student wellbeing coaching is not counselling, psychology, medical care or crisis support, and is not intended to replace appropriate professional support where that is required.
15. Parent/Guardian Consent
Where a client is under 18, parent or guardian consent is required before student wellbeing coaching commences, subject to applicable legal requirements.
The parent or guardian confirms that they have authority to provide consent for the student to participate.
The parent or guardian acknowledges that the student is the focus of the coaching relationship.
16. Student as the Focus
Student wellbeing coaching is provided for the benefit of the student.
The coaching relationship is intended to provide the student with an age-appropriate space to talk, reflect, develop self-awareness and work through practical wellbeing matters.
The student's views and participation will be respected within the boundaries of the service and applicable safety and legal obligations.
17. Student Confidentiality and Parent/Guardian Communication
Information shared by a student during coaching will generally be treated as private.
Parent/guardian communication will generally be limited to administrative matters, including bookings, payments and other practical arrangements.
Information about a student's progress, session content or matters discussed in coaching will not ordinarily be provided to a parent or guardian without appropriate discussion with the student and, where appropriate, the student's consent.
This does not prevent information being shared where Bridget reasonably believes disclosure is necessary for the student's safety, safeguarding, to address a serious risk, or where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
18. Safeguarding and Referral
The Truest You takes the safety and wellbeing of students seriously.
If information arises that indicates a student may be at risk of harm or that additional professional support is required, Bridget may take appropriate action, which may include discussing the situation with the student and/or parent or guardian and recommending or facilitating referral to an appropriately qualified professional or service.
Where required, information may be disclosed to an appropriate person or authority in accordance with legal or safeguarding obligations.
19. School-Based Services
Where The Truest You provides wellbeing coaching or wellbeing programs through a school or other organisation, additional arrangements may apply between The Truest You and that organisation.
These may include arrangements relating to:
scheduling
student selection
parent/guardian consent
school communication
safeguarding
reporting
payment
cancellation
program delivery.
Where applicable, those arrangements will be communicated separately to the relevant organisation.
Student confidentiality remains subject to the boundaries described in these Terms & Conditions and any applicable legal or safeguarding obligations.
20. Emergencies and Crisis Support
The Truest You is not an emergency, crisis or medical service.
If you or a student is experiencing an emergency, immediate danger, significant mental health crisis or other situation requiring urgent assistance, you should contact an appropriate emergency, medical or crisis service.
Coaching sessions should not be relied upon for immediate or emergency support.
21. Marketing and Promotional Communication
Marketing, newsletters and promotional communications are separate from the provision of wellbeing coaching.
Agreeing to these Terms & Conditions does not mean that you have consented to receive marketing communications.
Where marketing communications are introduced, any required consent will be obtained separately.
You may withdraw marketing consent at any time.
22. Testimonials, Photographs and Social Media
The Truest You will not use a client's name, photograph, testimonial or identifiable personal information for promotional purposes without appropriate consent.
Any consent for testimonials, photographs or social media use will be obtained separately from acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
23. Intellectual Property
The Truest You name, branding, website content, resources, worksheets and original materials remain the intellectual property of The Truest You unless otherwise stated.
Clients may use resources provided to them for their own personal use as part of their coaching.
They must not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell or commercially use those materials without written permission.
24. Complaints and Concerns
If you have a concern or complaint about the service, you are encouraged to raise it with Bridget as soon as reasonably possible.

The current version will be published on the The Truest You website.
Where a material change affects an existing ongoing client relationship, reasonable notice will be provided where appropriate.
