Where a student is under 18, this Privacy Policy also applies to information collected about the student and their parent or guardian in connection with student wellbeing coaching.

Depending on how you interact with The Truest You, we may collect information such as:

  • information provided through enquiry, booking and intake forms

  • information relevant to your wellbeing coaching sessions

For student wellbeing coaching, some information may also be provided by a parent or guardian.

  • arranging and managing appointments

  • providing wellbeing coaching services

  • understanding your circumstances and goals

  • preparing for and conducting coaching sessions

  • maintaining appropriate coaching records

  • communicating with you about your appointments or service

  • processing payments

  • managing cancellations, rescheduling and other appointment matters

  • maintaining appropriate safety and safeguarding processes

  • meeting legal or regulatory obligations

  • responding to complaints or concerns

For students under 18, The Truest You collects information necessary to provide student wellbeing coaching and to establish appropriate parent/guardian consent and emergency contact arrangements.

The student is the focus of the coaching relationship.

Information shared by a student during coaching will generally be treated as private, subject to the limits of confidentiality described in the Terms & Conditions, including circumstances involving safety, safeguarding or legal obligations.

Parent/guardian communication will generally be limited to administrative matters, including bookings, payments and other practical arrangements.

Information about a student's progress, session content or matters discussed in coaching will not ordinarily be provided to a parent or guardian without appropriate discussion with the student and, where appropriate, the student's consent, subject to circumstances where information must be shared for safety, safeguarding or legal reasons.

7. Who we may share information with

The Truest You may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to provide the service or operate the business, including to service providers used for:

  • appointment scheduling and client management

  • payment processing

  • website hosting and operation

  • business email and communication

  • technology and administrative support.

The Truest You does not sell your personal information.

Personal information may also be disclosed where required or authorised by law, or where disclosure is necessary to address a serious safety, safeguarding or emergency concern.

Where a third-party provider processes personal information on behalf of The Truest You, that information may be handled by the provider in accordance with its own privacy practices and terms.

  • Squarespace for website hosting and website functionality

  • Acuity Scheduling for appointment bookings, intake forms and client information

  • Stripe for payment processing

  • Gmail/Google for business email and communication.

These providers may process or store information in Australia or overseas, depending on their systems and operations.

The Truest You does not control the privacy practices of these third-party providers. You should refer to their respective privacy policies for further information about how they handle personal information.

9. Website cookies and analytics

The Truest You website may use cookies and similar technologies as part of the normal operation of the website.

Squarespace may also use cookies, analytics and related technologies to operate, secure and understand use of the website.

The specific cookies and technologies used may change as website functionality changes.

The Truest You takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Personal information may be stored electronically through systems used by The Truest You, including Acuity Scheduling, Squarespace, Stripe and Google/Gmail.

Access to private coaching records and session notes is restricted to Bridget Murphy, except where access is required by an authorised service provider or otherwise permitted or required by law.

While reasonable steps are taken to protect personal information, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. How long we keep information

The Truest You retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing services, maintaining appropriate records, resolving disputes and meeting legal, accounting or other obligations.

The Truest You does not currently operate an email newsletter.

Marketing consent will be separate from consent required to receive wellbeing coaching services.

You may withdraw marketing consent at any time.

15. Children and young people

Student wellbeing coaching is designed for secondary-school students and may involve clients under 18.

Where a client is under 18, appropriate parent/guardian consent will be obtained before coaching commences, subject to applicable legal requirements.

The Truest You takes the privacy, safety and wellbeing of young people seriously and maintains appropriate boundaries around student information and communication.

Once you leave the The Truest You website, those external websites are governed by their own privacy policies and practices.

The Truest You is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external websites.
